Snuck out for a bit of fishing this morning with my Omani Skipper Hassan and one of the local boys Wayne the conditions were a bit gnarly with a mighty short chop and a pumping south but I had a feeling the Geets were going to be hungry so we stuck it out.
On our first drift and my first cast I wrapped my braid round one of the eyes and watch my brand new ASWB stick fly into the distance, felt like a bit of a tool managed to fetch it retied the leader and next cast I was on with a GT.
We moved on to the next spot looking for calmer water to fish with me bragging about my GT prowess when Wayne gets a good hit on his Ulua stick. We basically left him to fight it out on his own as when the guides fish its every man for himself but when we saw the fish come up it was action stations and we boated a pig of a fish, a personal best for Wayne and probably the biggest fish of the season so far.
We finished off spinning for tuna with a Long tail basically spooling me on my stracic 5000 before dropping my spoon next time I think I’ll go to the gun fight with a bit more than a butter knife
