Found some more ha ha! Tacklehouse Britt before and after cubera snapper. Killer lures, but one toothy critters and you're retiring them.

Orion Plug...funny story, late night we were prepping for an early start and one of my mates asked if I could put hooks on his plug while he gets a round of drinks. Being a super helpful fishing buddy I kindly threw on a pair of no.1 inline singles, perfect for game fishing from the beach ;) The black one is mine for comparison...

...anyway, we had a good laugh and I put the lures in his box before he got back. Next morning we hit the beach and from about 100 yards upwind a loud barrage of cuss words broke the silence when my mate gets rigged up in the middle of a huge smash and discovers his less-than-ideal rigging ::rofl:

Rum & coke may have featured the night before lol!

Yeah got a few of the amberjacks , also a bit of a lure junkie and the fact that my missus fishes to means i gotta buy double of everything or she sees a lure and wants it ;)
Sorting out the tackle room the other day and can open up a shop bro.
Into getting more rods , want to get my missus a Maven inshore spin , like the one i got but in red or orange. Just got 2 of the ripple fisher Big Tuna 710's , insanely good rod.

Oh boy those are two masterpieces ((wideeye)). I purposely avoid buying lures like that because I will end up starting a massive collection that I'll never use....I try stick to the mantra that all lures are made to be fished. Would be impossible to throw that Nautilus especially.

I took my wife to a little grunter sweet spot many moons ago and she managed to get two little grunts on ultra light gear and had an absolute blast. I thought that'd set the addiction in motion and had delusions of grand fishing trips all over the world on every vacation....alas, it was the first and last time she picked up a fishing rod. To this day she proudly tells the story of the time she caught two grunters on lures, but she's never bothered with fishing again :(

You're lucky to have your missus as passionate as you are about your sport and what a legend she is too! She dominates the fishy tales at NBO along with JC's fiance!

Ja bud i agree with you on lures should be fished , had to get it just to acknowledge someons skill at producing such a thing of beauty.

Want to get JC's missus Lydia and my missus together , will see maybe a trip to Oz or get together in Oman and see what those 2 can get upto. Yeah i am lucky , our trip to Zanzibar in October the first question she asked was are we going to pop and jig because she wants a dogtooth and a yellowfin ;);)

She is crazy hehe

yeah got lucky with this one , she never did like fishing much , came with me a few times on the boat just river fishing.
then she got transfered to the Caribbean for 4 months for work and i had to tag along (it was tough ;)) the last month we where there , i could see she was getting very stressed by the job , so i took her Tarpon fishing after work the one evening , of course she was not willing and just wanted to relax at home. after a few minutes of begging she gave in and 5 hours later , she had 4 tarpon over 30kg , 2 mutton snapper and a few yellowtail snappers under her belt , she had forgotten about work and now addicted to the sport. needless to say after that it was every night after work and then i got shouted at because i had not taken her sooner hahaha crazy woman.
she is still learning and loving it.
could of gone the other way but she actually loves the fight and chase of the fish.
