Hey Cal,
Back in the day we used to catch plenty grunter at Sugar terminal .... sizers too. Good part about bay fishing is that you don't need no "big sticks." Seen plenty rods take off into the water as well, okes not setting drags & stuff. Round Bush & Grunter Gully were among my favorite spots, rods on the floor, braai going & just lifting some weights while waiting for a drag to go ... Good old days I tell you.
For me it's all about good clean fun, meeting people, chatting, learning new techniques & being a sportsman. Sometimes we get so caught up, we lose sight of the big picture. I know plenty of anglers who just fish for the fun of it & I'm probably one of them but who cares if we don't catch a fish ? Let's face it, one can't really guarantee a decent catch on every trip these days... One thing you can guarantee is that you go home after a trip without any fish & the vrou be making funny face.:blah
my 5bob ....
Kind regards,
Jonah
