OK... Eishkom sorted...::S

Thanks for the Report Skropsie... all spot on and thanks to those who braved the weather... initially it was a bit cold, but it turned out rather pleasant.

Some other highlights that Jan neglected to mention was... that he's been aching to get past a 100m measured cast... well a few words and Kaboom... 122m no problem! Jan, your improvement is amazing! Well done! Mike Pike also on the verge of a breakthrough... Homie, bru... now that you have a decent reel, it's time to get a longer rod... the Beachmaster is awaiting you!

Another highlight for me was John Loomes' presence. John is a current Inland Springbok (Protea:temp:) angler... gave us some great tips on many things. It's always great to have a guy as knowledgeable and experienced as John to join us. We also have some promising Bait news in the pipeline...:spite

Kumzie... it's amazing what you can do with Bait boxes... that insulation of a Polystyrene Box is gonna save okes a fortune!

RoyBoy kept us well entertained until late in the arvie... Carch made a long drive to join us too - thanks again to all who pitched... another memorable event!

Eish...didn't want to blow my own trumpet the rest I forgot about, sorry Kumz and Garth, next report I'll do before I hit the 5th beer.

Nice one lads, looks like lots of fun was had, sorry I couldn't be there.

Tony - good on you mate for the reel, leading by example! A true gentleman!

Homie - you couldn't ask for a better reel to learn on mate, probably the most robust & forgiving reel you'll ever own! PM me about braid.

Hey guys, great one was had by all. (I haven't had that much fun with fishing junkies for ages!!!! I had the brain-pain yesterday to validate that statement)

Our ADSL was buggering around this morning....so every time I tried to get my chirps in...connection was lost. At least I think it was on our side....telkom-et-al, and then the scourge called meetings for the rest of the day.

Homie, your face was a SIGHT TO BEHOLD!!! Tony? Look at the pics guys.....

You're a Squire and a Gentleman. For sure, you're one on the most decent people I have ever met. Serious words. No compliment - a statement.

Skrops, Skrops, Skrops.....well now. What can I say. The proof is, we don't mess around (revert back to my headache statement). If memory serves me correctly, the number "20" sticks out? In the next few weeks we shall start doing justice to that number.

Poenskop? Next time bring your tying vice and lets get some quick effective patterns together. Clousers in sub-1 minute. Best all-round fly for anything.

And the fly rods, we'll throw a few lines.

John? Distance and Accuracy (approx 145-160m) and you were no more than 4-5 degrees out on your worst cast!!!!!! Generally, you were right on the money.
OK, we didn't hear the "Clung" of your sinker hitting the steel umbrella on the right......but jeez you were close!!!! Consistently. They were a long LONG way away. From now on, you cast the long ones for me.

For all you other guys out there, it is a wonderful thing to watch somebody cast with such precision. And do traces. And share info. John, you're another Tony.

It is really a pleasure to spend time with a bunch of fishing-tackle-junkie-addicts.

Carch - you too bud. Come November, the Zululand fish will have to worry. I can't wait......

Chat later, got to run

Great Kumz - you had the Klippies & Coke? Copy the Safari Chiller and you have an order from me.

If it keeps the klippies cold, it will keep bait frozen for a week.

Cheers chaps, RB
