I'm in guys, just need to pump some prawn tomorrow and get mussel,then will go for a recce to see where it's looking best...I just heard the guys are still getting a few kob in the vlei off the boats... and lets not forget bontkop,the winds apparently turning WNW so things might hot up there on sunday.

Excuse my ignorence but where is the Vlei you guys refer to, I know M/Bos but where exact.

The Vlei is a fishing spot/ opening in the kelp between Bontkop and the Melkbos Firestation, if you park at the firestation you walk about 5 min back towards cape town, and you will see the opening in the kelp, and that opening is called the Vlei

The trekkers did pull a size steenbras with a net there once that was released again if i remember the posts correctly.

I think steenbras could be next to the reef in front of the icecream shop, even in the shallower water on the northern side of it where the surfers usually are.
