Oom G I rather insure than lose all my gear and not be able to fish for even a couple of weeks. My luck I will cancel the insurance and that same night somebody will relocate all my gear. it is not only the replacement value but also sentimentel value to me. I still have the first rod my dad bought me 44 years ago, al little 6'6" fibreglass rod we used for scratching on the South Coast. The reel is long gone but now my grand daughter is learning to cast with it. I had to replace the eyes a couple of times but it is still a good little rod for kurper. PS. my wife do know about the gear and its value (she misses nothing) but5 although she hates freshwater fishing she realises that it is quality time with my sons and grandchilren and has never stopped me from fishing.

Same here Schobies.... These days, one can't afford not to ensure your valuables...it's just to risky...:(

I always joked in saying that I would one day have a wife that will have no interest in fishing at all....Now I got one...LoL!!!....But, as your wife, she supports me 100%...so yeah, I guess we're lucky huh...:) just until I want to buy new gear, THENNN the justification for purchase requisition starts...LoL!:)
