Found your site while hunting for impact sinker moulds. You blokes like catching a few sharks by the looks. Used to enjoy being dragged up and down the beach of a night hooked up to the odd noah. Getting a bit old and fat to go chasing them these days. Also you have an exceptional selection of emoticons:imnew.Fish along the central coast of WA after Mulloway, tailor and other fish that are good on the chew.

I'm a farmer with a love of beach fishing and no real interest in boats.

We seem to get a lot of gear out of South Africa of late that works well over here. The latest being the Loomis and Franklin rods. The only difference is that we have a preference for spin reels instead of multipliers/ overheads.

Lots of really useful info on this site which I look forward to browsing through.

Our fishing site in WA is http://www.westernangler.com.au for those trying to work out the difference

5kg Westralian Dhufish (Dhuie) caught near Geraldton. Straight out of a day in the sheepyards to a night on the beach

As long as all you want the sheep for is eating thats OK with me, habib. :dude:

I imagine lamb is pretty popular on the Brrrrrrraaai over there too?

The kiwi's are the ones that really 'love' their sheep;)

:thankie Thanks for the welcome guys

Will catch them yes...we call them tailor..due to their tail chopping antics, also called Chopper Tailor.

That rig is more used for Mulloway (Kob) and is also good on Dhuies. They are not a common catch (Dhuies) from the shore as they are really a deeper water fish 30m approx and stay out wide. Few of us over here like to chase them but a fisherman may ony catch one from the beach in his life, or like the bloke that taught me to catch them....one everytime he goes chasing them:swear I'm getting used to always being:sec
