Hi guys,
Have got Garrick on carbon coated steel traces(full metal jacket). Have heard several anglers advises of not catching garrick with steel traces, but I just keep quite & go on nodding my head. I turned to steel traces after noticing on a no. of ocassions that the hook line's being bitten off by a shark(not even feeling nuj)
, this is only noted after hours of waiting for a pull, only to retrieve no hooks & no live bait, thus wasting all my time. Now with the steel trace, even in the 1st minute of my bait being out, if pulled by a shark i have knowledge of the pull cause it didnt bite me of, thus allowing me to put another livey with less time wasted.
Further, to time being wasted. How many of u have just only reeled out the heads of your live bait after hours of waiting time(wasted time, bait could've been attacked in the 1st few min). It also pays to put a hook closer to the tail end(pre-caudal fin) of the live bait.(hook through upper jaw or just behind head with the other closer to the tail)
Will be great to hear other members views, how to beat the tax-man.
