Fun with bass on a 4 weight fly rod

i lost a whole bunch of big one's on my 4weight Explorer flyrod(smashed me up in the reed's) but i must say being a saltwater angler and have done flyfishing in saltwater a long time, but sight fishing for bass and seeing them hit your clouser is just as exiting as going for any fish the same size in salt water... and yes all the bass were releast to fight another day...

Nice JJ, chasing bass with the long rod, or "Buggy Whip" as I like to call it is a blast!

Try tie up some small Deerhair bugs, kind like oversized Muddlers Minnows, or mini Dahlberg divers, and chase them on the surface too, great action!!!
