So let's get to the other part of this post
We went down to the beach and jolled there awhile and then the boss wanted to swim in the river
While there I noticed some rather large shadows in the water ,they where very skittish but eventually I got close enough for a I'd
I knew there where grunter in the lagoon but not this size they where nice from about 40cm to 60cm and quite a few too
I stalked them for a while and got within 5m of them
I doubt they'll bite in the day tho
It was keen to see they wouldn't swim over the weed areas only the sand.
Here's a pic of us checking them out
I wonder if a fly would work ?

Nice one Boep - one thing i`ve learnt during years of angling, include the family where possible, then you`re doing something you love with the ones you love ;-) A true win win situation!!!

My little boy doesn't like fishing at all although he`s caught plenty fish, i`ll take him back to the dam when he`s a little older though and try again!

Palm springs is a holiday resort near east london on the kidds beach side
The sea looks even better ,and good fishing is to be had
Those r prawn holes ,the population is good as u can see
Here's a pic of one spot I fish for sharks and cob

i was also shocked at the size of the spotties in that river. if u wait long enough they come close to u. but no drop shot or bait gets them to bite. with all those prawns i dont blame them. i have also seen a decent pig nose in the river and a kob of about 5kg but that was at the narrow end at the top.
