Hi
I would really like to get he number of Cephas as I have a boat that needs its deck replaced.
I see he knows his job your boat looks awesome.

What was the final cost for everything?
I might even ask you for the contact details of the composite / resin manufacturers you used?

Hi Timjan, I can honestly recommend Cephas, he was so honest and didn't try squeeze me for my last cent ( like I've experienced by other reputable boat service center's ) and he sent daily Whastapp photos of progress.his number is 060 359 8352.

The resin company I bought from was NCS resins in Edenvale : 011 451 8901 and then I used AMT composites for the chop strand, woven and Pool coat / flow coat : 011 392 4232

TimJan, final cost for all was :

50l Iso resin and catalyst : R 2716.00
25m 450gr chop strand : +/- R 590.00
5m 450gr woven : +/- R 180.00
1 x 16mm Marine ply for transom : R 1240.00
2 x 12mm Ply wood for deck : R 900.00 - remember the ply wood was coated twice on the underside and top with 450gr chop strand so it'll be watertight for many many years, and then coated with pool coat.
8L of white flow coat / pool coat : R 800.00
5L of gray flow coat : R500.00
500ml of metallic auto paint ( incl. hardener etc.) R790.00

Total cost of materials roughly : R 7716.00

Total cost of labor paid to Cephas for the complete refurb - replace transom, replace deck, spray outboard, fill all chips / cracks with fibre, spray the boat top to bottom incl. metallic stripes and lay the float coat. basically a complete refurb top to bottom.
Thae labor cost was : R 13 500.

So all in all R 21 216.00

Might seem very expensive for an old boat but in hind sight I have a "brand new" boat which will last a decade and I honestly do not need "flashy" so I am very happy :)
