Sealine together with Spyker and Marina Kruger is organizing a fishing trip to Angola. 20 people will be accommodated on this trip. 10 Sealiners and 10 other. One of the others being Etienne Kriel the editor of Tight lines magazine.
DATE: 10 July to 25 July 2010. (Includes travelling time from S.A)
The idea of this trip is to introduce our members to the fishing wonders of Angola, guided by Spyker Kruger.
This trip is a joint venture between Henties baai Angling Tours (Spyker) and Sealine, and based on a cost cutting budget. There will only be one of these tours with these costs.
What the 14 days will consist of. (Not fixed but general idea)
The tour will be a total of 14 days ---6 days travelling from and to S.A --- 8 days surf fishing. The idea is make a video of the tour and will feature all members/people on the trip.
Sealine has agreed to do a fundraiser to sponsor a professional cameraman on this trip to capture all the wonderful moments.
All persons attending will be involved in the making of this DVD as we are not going there with a specific topic for this DVD in mind.
Sealine and Hentiesbaai Angling Tours will however reserve the right to use all footage at later stages.
What basically will happen: (details ironed out once confirmed)
Drive from S.A to Ruacana—2days
Drive into Angola—1day
Camp and fishing at Flamingo for approx 4 days depending on conditions
Camping and fishing at Tombwa for approx 2 days
Possibly move down south into the dunes (also a fishing area) for a day or two (all depending on conditions)
Back to flamingo on last day for equipment check (we might leave some equipment here for storage on the way south), last of creature comforts and final fishing before taking the long road home.
Drive Angola—1 day
Ruacana to S.A --2 days.
You leave S.A on a Saturday and return on a Sunday.
Once we have confirmation from members who will do the trip, Sealine will do their best to see what type of sponsorship’s we could get to help its members with their costs etc.
Any person attending is also welcome to propose individual sponsoring and will be given exposure accordingly. (Once we have the names attending we will discuss this in detail)
Costs.
Guys now this is estimated and not cast in stone. The reason why I am making this statement is that we all are going to do our best to get as much sponsors as possible to help with costs.
The costs as set below, we envisage being the worst case scenario.
The following are fixed costs: ( R 5500-00) and includes. (Is also the required deposit to book your place.)
Entrance and road fees in Angola.
Angolan Parks fees.
Registration fees.(Tombwa)
Pass Fees. Sera De Leba ( same as toll road fees)

Camping fees.
For your own pocket.

Now we estimate these costs at R4000-00 p/p for the trip
Total R 9500-00 / 14 days=R 678, 00 per day.
