I can agree with your thinking 100% .

Many of the new model rods are very stiff and may cast very well, but don't fish very good ?? I would rather loose 50 m on distance and enjoy playing a fish .

Enigma - correct, that is the thickness of the blanks of my 13`s used for casting a little further than the 10`s ;-)

I think i should come and see you when i`m ready for those 10`s, lets have a chat and you can propose what you think is best according to the angling intended to be done.

Thanks again for the information, much appreciated.

Hi. Thanks for the compliment. I've always loved the dams and fished it when I still lived in Fish Hoek and when I was at Maties

The Matrix and Mach III are the same rod both are made from the Blue Marlin T53 365/2+1 the Mach III has a minor cutback of the tip

I used my Skycasters on Day 2 when the overcast conditions and the flats of C zone required massive distance. I was fishing a 145m Line Clip with a M1.5

Like I mentioned many times earlier in this post it is a rod for a specific occasion you seldom catch a lot of fish with them but the fish you do catch mean a lot of points on the day

Deon Smit (Smitty) has finished in the Top 5 of the Premier Division and won last years trials at Klipdrift did all that with his Skycasters. Many of the Mpumalanga guys simply moan, Ag Nee hiers Smitty alweer met sy Ferraris.

Awa-Shima has since launched the Skycaster IV and he took 2 as demonstration rods. It has a strengthened Base section, is 14' and has a Light and Heavy tip and does casting from a M0 to a 5oz

He had one of his juniors use them at the Nationals in December, result was 3rd place and then he used them at the trials and won the Junior Trials.

Currently we order them on demand for anglers as it is a very specific rod.

We have National rock and Surf anglers fishing the rods for European R&S conditions

This rod is a bronze/copper/gold colour

Good day Enigma, its always nice to know that we have a expert in the room when we want info!!::S

Does the T53 of Schalk also come in a 14ft.?

I had a set of Blue Marlin "Doner Stokke-14ft.", but i broke 1 of them, and is now looking for a new set that can handle a P4 or P5, and which can give me atleast 200M with a (P4 with small voerball).."fishing with 0.16 line on my magnums"

What is your sugestion on this??

Thanks..

The Mach III is only available in 12'

It is however possible to build 1 piece 14 and 15' T53 rods for long range casting the Purglas 400/0 can also be built to the 15' length and will do what you want to do and still be light enough.

The Skycaster is a 3 piece 15' from HMG and will also do that
