i've been to Langebaan on Wed and caught 9 beautiful BLOU-KOPPE..ave size 1kg, and then Thurs down to Macassar and caught 4 ave sized Bellman.. so many anglers and everyone caught at least one.. excellent sea conditions for Bellman produced excellent catches..

I think we in for a stunning season..

tight lines

it was ctually surprising ..cos its was a calm day with a gentle NW wind and i fished out of the channel cos the current was too strong..found a hole calm and lively and i smashed the Stumps..every cast a massive grab and tug down of my graphite with medium tip..awesome fun..then the NW became a bit stronger and BHOOM..all gone..it was about 1 hour of great fishing once again in LNGBN.. but then again i kinda know the place like the back of my hand after spending my year in the Military.. try Kabeljou Str spots..and use MUD prawn..the big Blou Koppe only interested in that and hardly even sniff on the pink prawn.. prob see you there.. look out for green wader, green rucksac, brown cap dude loving every minute of being there :)

was thinking that same thing. Taking the ladies down as well. they can catch there own stumpies, and when we done there we go look for trouble with the cows

You Guys think it is worth the drive... going up the coast anyway, just need to know if it is worth convincing the minister of home affairs to loosen the reigns slightly. I see it is a nice early morning low tide with a southerly wind swinging to a South westerly later in the day.

Even if you dont catch anything would it not be nice to just go thru the motions and get away from the MINISTER?!!!

hi there guys it still abit early for langebaan after all i live here i should know. The stumps coming out now are still the what we would call the pan size(we have big pans).Just wait for the S easter to howl for about three days then try the palletjies ,and this thing about 2 hours before low is a myth , twoo hours after low the water must push hard then you stand almost waist deep and put a long shot . try to reach the island if you know what i mean.then youll have sports , but a little early still the water temp is now 14 gusting 15 deg at time still a bit cold.when the big boys are around nothing less than a big gun 3/0 with 9 kg fluoro carbon a lttle 5,5 leader and bobs your uncle , dont worry about the jhonnys they keep away from the banks and mostly big smooth hounds that we target in the leagues. There are bronzies in jan-march but provided we have warm weather and they are further up in the lagoon and at spreeuwalle, but if you guys wanna know whats happening give me a shout at the base --capt chetty 022-7062315 , 0832356031.
