Hi. Caught my fish the day before my post on this site. If you go to Strandfontein, I fished at the spot called 'Asbankie' (The reef of black mussel from the shore into the sea) at Broken road. There is also a sewrage waste disposal pipe there, pointing out to a reef just left of Asbankie. Cast between Asbankie and that reef, approx 150m deep. I get continuous bites there on the push tide - mainly Stompies though, but landed the Gallie on a 2/0 hook. I had to wade quite deep to the left of the drain pipe to avaoid the rocks and tehn cast far to the right to get the distance.
Saturday past was my last outing and landed nice Elf at Monwabisi. Parked inside the braai spots deep in where you will see a hole in the fence. Went down the cliff and 'voila'! They were jumping out on Pilchard, but on the low they were only taking on whole Anchovettes. Also noticed they were biting my float, so positioned a hook through it. Landed two on that top hook. At around 3-5pm, when we left to check out Mnandi and I later learned they were landing big Belman behind the Monwabisi tidal pool wall. I could kick my ass man!
Mnandi was throwing out Stompies that Saturday too, but it was all small and the beach overcrowded so did not even bother.
But I found on all my last outings that there was always fish between Monwabisi and Stranfontein. Just had to ride and observe a bit.
Hope this satifies your question man.

Kind regards
