Baileys cottage is a cool place to spin from when the elf are around!Am living in Kommetjie and am looking for an good spot to spin for Elf in early mornings in December and January. Are there any good spots for shore spinning close by in False Bay?

If your up for a drive, go over to the Strand pavilion.
Numerous fishermen catch small to medium elf from next to the old wooden jetty if you wade out a bit, and I have caught edible sized elf there on dropshot before.
Try go early in the morning like 3am - 4am and stand under the restaurant
lights that shine onto the shallow waters and you will
be surprised what you pick up on spinners fished slowly.
Baileys is the best spot though, especially after a strong south easter, the elf swarm around there. But it can be dead without a strong south easter.
Another place is Sandvlei where it runs into
the sea, its a few minutes drive further towards Strandfontein side from Baileys cottage, alot of elf come out there. Very productive waters with bait, dont know about spoon. Good Luck.
