Whaaa haaa haaaa haaa! Buggars all of you! ( a major conspirisy if you ask me) I was working on site today and just got a chance to come see what junk you guys have thought up and true as "BOB"!.... while the cats away the mice will play lol!

Hey I have no advise to give, they like my carp bait, maize, maples, peanuts even boillies....lol! Im stumped!

Think they just have an affinity towards my expensive Fox end tackle... think I must put a rietvlei out there and see what the heck happens.

Dang! and I thought chicken livers would be a carp treat!

Guys interesting Thread.

I do not use dips anymore at all but not to say that i would not give it a try if the situation presents itself.

My question if you are mousetrapping tigers and maize and carp between 4kg and 6,5kg are hammering you.
You reduce the freebies to almost nothing and still they are hammering you eventually going up to 3 18mm boilies eventually getting the tempo down and catching the biggest carp of the session what would your advise be if i go back to the same venue for a 5 day session.

Would be interesting to see what you would advise.

Probably spend the first 2 days building up your swim, getting the carp feeding, and then starting with the setup you ended your last session with, e.g. 3 x 18mm boilies. Why go through the small ones all over again?

Its funny cos i've been thinking about this exact same scenario Gert, at my local dam. problem is, its not 4-6,5kg carp thats the problem, but the 7-11kg carp that i cant get past. One option is 2 x 30mm baits and as the session progresses to reduce the amount of particles, and increase the amount of big boilies I feed....
