Interested in joining whatsapp group for deepsea fishing? Looking for laid back guys for random trips from pedsac,noordhoek and occasionally st fancis and kowie. The idea is, i broadcast a whatsapp if there's a space available and the rest of the arrangements follow from there . I don't allow anything stronger than black coffee on the boat, but back on shore you're welcome to break out your tequila.

We use our own tackle, split gas and bait costs and take our own fish home.

Boat is an original old 21ft butt cat.

I expect to set up a group of about 20 guys. PM me for further introductions and details

Nice idea, great notion. Just be careful - I know it's not always possible but try and do a "background" check on the potential angler/s you want to take with, for example if he has got any health issues ect. I am diabetic - however I am 100% fine, some people might not be so "fine".......Despite your kindness it could work against you.

Again, it's just my take on going to sea.

But more seriously, i think a short personal checklist would be in order, for the protection of both parties

Pleasure, just to be on the safe side....keep yourself protected buddy. I do not really know the laws on taking people out to be honest, but for example what will happen if a dude touches a jelly fish or b/bottle?

Some of the mails I've got show a bit of confusion around this post, so let me try to clarify - this is not a charter boat, and i'm purely a recreational fisherman.

I have a bunch of mates who normally fish with me, but if i fish a couple of days in a row (eg Sat and Sun), they sometimes get a bit of flak from their First Ladies (':)'

So basically I'm looking for a few more guys who would like to do a bit of recreational deep sea fishing from time to time, but also who would fit in with the other guys for a beer or coke at the club afterwards

would be great fun catching a bonito on river tackle. reckon you would land some reef fish as well, up to a point. send your number if you like, "nothing ventured, nothing gained"....
