this is by far the best revamp article that i have raid ever. You should be proud of your self and in-fact this article is going to inspire me and others to get what you want and not settle for what you can buy in a shop.

i just have one question for you.

what was the coast of the boat before and then after when it was finished including your extras that took 2 months?

i would prefer not to disclose what i spent as i may be forced to sell her one day and then i would be shooting myself in the foot having my entire market know what was spent. all i can say is that you can take the cost of what I paid for the boat originally and double it and that is what i spent! I originally told tkei i spent 50% more but that was an incorrect calc, it was 100% more! but well worth it!!

Shot fishtales!! The 40 goes exceptionally well with 2 or 3 anglers on board but struggles once you add more than that!

Im not sure what type of hull! the previous owner claimed it was a G6 hull but i have chatted to a few boating specialists who say its not a G6??? maybe someone on this forum knows??

Racer-x, sorry didnt reply sooner. I see you posted something a while ago.

She's still going strong! Not much more done to her apart from putting in a 29meg radio. Also just put some galvanised rims on as the others were savaged by the salt.

Joined PEDSAC last year so I have been launching her out the harbour and fishing the bay area. Its turned into a great all round boat for inshore and estuaries.

Munga PMed me some details aboutfixing the boat.

It seems he had to almost build a new trailer.

Anyway in the end he has a (almost) brand new boat.

Gumtree is overflowing with these small cabin boats for about R15,000 as average price.

There is even a small dinghy converted to a cabin boat with an electric motor!
