PURGLASS by far (Personal preference)

It's really nice to have a forum where we can have views of other anglers, poke fun at eachother and generally get informative news in the modern angling world. My views has still not changed in that if we do the simple math at the end of the day whether you (and I refer to the more seasoned anglers here) use a Trinidad, Saltist, Saltiga or Okuma I am and will never be convinced that, say you take and record your catches over say one year that you would have caught more fish with one reel and rod than with the other. Again if we look at the records from the past this is clearly proven. For those of you who have seen it, read what Schoeman has to say in his book called "Strike" GIANT bluefin with old cane rods, centre pin reels etc etc etc. Yes fishing has modernized and evolved but if you have a semi good rod and reel it aint gonna make a diffirence whatsoever and at the end of the day it's all about personal preference.

Hey Duane,

Late season's greetings mate. How's the rock and surf fishing going.....I have been very spoilt with our boat so it's deep sea for me w/end after w/end. We are klapping the geelies nicely, all in the 8 - 15kg's class around 34degrees south of recife. I am going out on Sunday and Saturday I am going to try and get some karp in Fort Beaufort of all places

I previosuly wrote about this and mentioned it's like comparing a 30-06, 243 and 30-08 when it comes to hunting - There will NEVER be an end to a discussion like this one but it's great to read the views etc etc. It's all personal preference.......: )
