Ideally we must stop fart arsing and get our Cape Town Club up and running. Once running we can affliate our selves with SAKFA and get all our craft registerd.
Safety Equipment that you should always have on the ski consists of:
# an approved PFD (personal flotation device) to be worn
# a 10 mtr rope(tow rope)
# Pencil flares (not out of date)
# Bailing device (bucket or collapsible bucket) You can use your tackle box or a sponge
# You must have 750ml drinking water.
# You must not exceed 1km from land (1000m)
# Fully Charged Cell phone per person/group in a suitable water tight container.

check out SAKFA's reg and guidelines at http://www.sakfa.co.za/

Hey FM,

I know when i registered my ski in Natal, a smoke marker was also part of the saftey kit. Dunno if that has changed.
