CAPE 'SAFETY IN NUMBERS' NIGHT FISHING!

'SAFETY IN NUMBERS' NIGHT FISHING.After conferring with  Marthin & other members,we've settled on a date for night fishing as 11th December.Chose the Thursday as the weekend will be a long weekend for most & most members will be away.

VENUE will be in accordance with where fish are coming out & is open for debate,and will make a decision by latest Monday or Tuesday next week. 

SECURITY. A fellow Sealine member runs a security company & may bring some of his fellow security guards along,depending on availability & agendas.Also,police anglers who are helping with the Kob Derby,are interested in joining us,but not sure yet on their schedule.Any other suggestions are welcome as Safety is Top Priority. 

ALL ANGLERS ARE WELCOME & NOT JUST SEALINE MEMBERS!For the purpose of safety,we'd like to get numbers together,and this night fishing get together is open to all anglers.So,family,friends,colleagues,etc,are welcome to join in.

Walt at this rate we will need the whole beach to fish, heading for big numbers by the look of it, shows how many guys are keen to fish at night but can not due to our free shoppers.Good that we all staan sam, send out an invite to the shoppers that we will be there that night and invite them for some TEA and scones, my that would be a fantastic tea party.On the down side with these numbers we will be spread out over a large area ( problem ) and we need to go in the least amount of cars posible, agree or dis-agree?

Hi Fish Hooks!Agreed,there'll be lots of ironing out to do wrt implementing Night Fishing in numbers,and we'll need to address these things.

But,FISH ARE COMING OUT AT NIGHT,and got a pm that Monwabisi yielded some cob just last night.And with most Cob caught at night or very early hours of the morning,as vouched for by Maasbanker as well, me thinks we're wasting our time fishing in the day.But,if there's too many anglers, another option is to meet somewhere & split crews up & spread fishing across coastline we're at, but still be in contact with one another,and in close enough proximity for safety.Maasbanker suggested contact with the Police Station master at Mitchells plain,so that they can patrol more regularly if we need to fish.Perhaps someone in that area can look into this as they may have more clout owing to the fact that they live in that area.First needed to see how many wanted to do some night fishing,and then with everyone's input,we can work out the logistics while putting it into progress.cheers!

Yip,mentioned that to Marthin,that we'll be fishing from a low to a high unfortunately. But with kob derby this weekend,& the following weekend,a long weekend coming up,couldn't plan according to the tides.I'd say when school holidays start,most will be off away on holiday,and just felt if we can get 1 night fish together this year still,it may create some confidence to repeat the scenario.Cheers!
