Canoe's on the water during the night!!!

Does anyone have the above rules and regulations regarding canoe's on the water during the night.

I'm talking about public places and big dams and the global freshwater rules.

Thats what I also know but these guys don't worry about that and they don't have any lights on the canoe.

Die SAPS kon nie vir ons duidelike antwoorde gee oor die saak tydens die BB. Ons sal die saak duidelik moet kry voor die volgende BB. Die hengelaars wil roei snags. As organiseerders wil ons nie risikos loop met verdrinkings nie.

Hi Bernard.
Hierdie is nie gemik op die Bonanza's en kompetisies nie,(Maar jy is reg ons moet dit aanspreek vir die Bonananza's ook). Ek wil maar net weet wat dit behels oor die algemeen, aangaande veiligheid en water reëls.

i think the main rule is, DONT BLIKSEM OUT OF THE CANOE, hahahaha just kidding ill check tamarex marine they should know

It's a really good question. I'm in the market for a canoe and was also wandering about this. Whether or not I'll be allowed to row at night. Not sure how safe it is.

I agree there are a handfull of guys that keep it clean but is an death worth it - hell I won't even use my motorised Boat at night and it has lights on freshwater

Well when we went to the vaal we took our lines in at night with a paddle ski! And had no problems just dont think of getting dressed like 2 or 3 jackets before you row your lines out because if bliksem over with all those cloths on you gona swim with the fishies permenantly! And as far as iv found out aslonge as you wearing a high visability vest you are all good!

LOLLLLLLLLLL. I love fishing but just dont think its worth the risk of gooing out there at night. In the afternoon prepare your spot and prepare it and at night just cast as far as you can.

Hi-Vis jacket is not going to help them locate you in six to eight meters of deep water.
I have no canoe, and don't want one. I are a genuine papfrower. If people really want to take their lines out, why not just get a bait boat. You can put some stickers and lights on it and maybe even a turbo.

Ya sure and mabye a batman wing and a sticker that ses i are BABOON! or maybe a sticker that ses hou my doep vas check hierdie MOEFF! Thats y i went in to specimen fishing coz people like you! you try and help people and then you sum clever person who will always come and get rude y cant you answer like a normale person!!

Eishh, i meant no harm man. sorry if i offended you buddy. I seriously meant no harm. My apologies. I have fished about 10 years back and stopped and now im trying to get back. So any advice im up for it. Last year december i actually tried and camped at Kroonstad Dam (private farm behind Shell Ultra City) and i struggled to catch at night. So any advice im up for it.
