Hello everyone.
I have a friend that would like to catch smallmouth yellowfish in the Calitzdorp dam. We went there to try for some a few days ago, but when we got there we struggled to find a spot to fish and had to walk through the veld a long way close to the dam wall. We used crickets as bait, but had no luck at all.
Does anyone perhaps have any info on how to target the smallmouths in the dam from the bank, spot, bait, how deep to cast, time of year and day, weather cinditions etc.
