yes, a verrrrrrryyyyy long time ago...........but not in rocket hut. too far to walk and we dont have a 4x4.

 

but ive fished from untinzini right till wild coast at most of the popular spots.

Hey guys..sorry for terribly late posting but blue lagoon was totally on fire today! I picked up my best catch so far off a monster diamond skate! Measured wingspan is 1830mm and head 2 tail is 1020mm.weight accordin 2 measurement is +56kg.. shad an grunter were also on the bite thru out the day..details and pictures off skate will follow tomorrow..

Hi Guys,

 

Did anyone fish on the weekend??

 

I was at north pier, but got nothing.......at blue lagoon, the guys nailed the shad in the morning.....its so sad to see guys still catching these fish even though it is banned...........however, 1 guy did get a nice Kingfish of about 5kg's in the morning...

hi brett, i tried from 4 in the afternoon on saturday to 10 at night in virginia. large sandbank about 80 meters out, made things very difficult. but what an excellent bait. no luck as yet, bt im sure gonna put it out again

Wed 15/11 @ blue lagoon..the north easter blew the entire day an really messed up the sea causing it to swell between one an one an half meters..there was a strong current that also kept anglers chasing after their lines as it drifted southwards..some shad an a few grunters were taken an a small brown skate off about 8kg..the river also opened up during the course off the day turnin water brown..

Lol mickjack..will definately start working on hookin somethin bigger than camerons honeycomb.. Need to get bigger baits an bigger hooks!!..btw mick..u were there at blue lagoon..was my estimation off 15-18min to land my diamond skate correct???..

By the way,

Who lost a 8Kg Spinner shark at Blue Lagoon yesterday?

We caught it with a half eaten shad and full slide

trace,sinker and line, still attached. Somebody obviously

had their line part, the sinker must have been buried well,

the shark twisted itself (like spinners do) in the leader

and strangled itself. It took about 35 mins to pull this lot in!!!
