Fished an eastern cape blind river this last weekend and caught two lovely fish a catface rockod and a lovely skipjack. The skippie was my first fish on my new homemade bucktails.

i dont know if you'd agree, but the fact that those fish came out of a smaller water system makes it even more special. i am usually far more stoked with a nice fish out of the canal than i am with the same fish offshore for example...

i think the pleasure i get from fishing is as much about the location as it is about the fish...

great catches! green with envy!!!

That's special Stav.

I agree with Matt.

Lovely catches, both of them and on your own bait in a river system.

It doesn't get much better than that.

thanks chaps appreciate the comments.

skippie was caught retrieving as fast as humanly possible with a slight jigging action. Rockcod caught fishing the plastic slowly on the bottom.
