I went to Blaauwpan this past Sunday as mentioned last week.
I got to the gate at 05:10am and a line of 5 cars were standing infront of me waiting for the gate to open at seven. It was raining, but nothing serious. At seven the gates opened and everybody raced for there spot!
I went to the far right hand side just left of the last ablusion block. Could not really go further as a fallen tree stopped you passing the inlet to the dam.
I got some info from Acidhouse on where to sit and what bait to use.In the meantime the wife left me there to go to her mom untill the rain stopped.
Used the baitboat to take out my lines about 150m. 30 min later first fish on.Used floaty with SWD and Almond Supreme on the bol.
Now I dont like only taking one line out with the baitboat, so I waited for the other rod to do something. About 15-20min later the second reel started screaming. Used Fx and Perdeby on the boll and SWD on the two hooks.
Acidhouse popped in to say hello and left a short while Later.Took my lines in for a third time as the woman next to me hooked my lines and I decided to rebait.
I did not catch anything after that as it started raining again and decided to pack up and take the wife and son home.
Anyway, just glad I cought a fish there for the first time in eight years!!
