Best spots in Rhodes EC

Hi all.

Going to Rhodes in late December for the first time and wondering if anyone has any tips, hints or suggestions on where to catch and with what flies?

Have a look at the WTA's website (Wild Trout Association), they have info on all the beats, bookings and fishing reports in the area.

Contact Walk about Guest house or The Rhodes Hotel and speak to Fred Styneberg he will let you know whats cutting and he is one of the top Guides in the country.

Dave Walker at walkerbouts will be able to put you onto water but he might not be the best with regards techniques. His beer is top notch though.

Depending on the type of fishing you want to do,
Boarmans Chase - Small water, sight fishing and dry flies
Bokspruit- high numbers of generally smaller fish, nymphs
Riflespruit- better fish but fewer and less fishable water means walking a fair bit.

When you get up there ask Dave to put you in contact with Tony Kietsman he is the best guide in the area and extremely knowledgable about all the streams and associated ecologies. Fred Steynberg is not always there (guiding in seychells etc).
