@ SteveM if you look carefully in bottom left corner you can see the 4" minnow on 1/2oz Jighead. The rod isn't bending like that cause the weight is too heavy it just has a brilliant action!!!

@Goofball Caught so much on it hey everything from Blacktail, caronteen, kingies, its what i use to throw camoworm and stuff around rocks but I'm pretty sure it would handle pretty big fish, I have landed fish up to 6kg kingfish on it. I have the 9foot xh passion stick aswell will post pics casting it, it is also a top notch rod can throw a 2 once jighead well. Bang for buck i put the passion stick range from sensation right at the top of my list. And when i doubt their performance than i throw my Berkley air haha..::S

hey chaps,

i have tried looking for a Sensation Passion Stick online but can't seem to find where to buy one. these rods seem to be highly rated and I would be interested to try one over here.
apologies if this is a silly question but are the rods made by Sensation or does this refer to a model ?  are these roads only available in SA ?

thanks

I Just picked My 8 ft Heavy up five minutes Ago . says Made in China on the Bottom .

Sensation is a Local Supplier ,  I would assume that it is also a chinese blank And sourced from there , etc .

I would agree , it's good value for the bucks .

inter-changeable tips . you Only get one , but a Heavy tip can be bought for a medium rod , etc. Not the best out there , but really nice . I can't wait to go the weekend for a throw.

Why dont you just buy from here and import?

AtR590 for a 8 ft , that would amount to you buying a pack of gum , in the u.K ......

thanks for the speedy reply :)

gum ain't that cheap over here  - jokes aside I am keen to try alternative brands to my tiger rods as they are expensive these days and <R800 or so seems very reasonable and you okes seem to like the stick.

I have multipliers so think it would best to try the rod with the reels. Where are they available from ? I'll be back in SA in october and look forward to having a throw with one.

Are there any 2/3 piece drop shot rods you recommend? It is so annoying not being able to travel more with my rods because they don't fit in the case .

thanks

Looking at the distance of his right hand from the reel. How is he brake and shooting?
A grinder's line is some distance from the rod and should be much higher to "brake" it against the rod.

I am new to this. How is this done? I don't have a grinder yet.

A Passion stick is the way to go hey, a group of us went on a trip to Banganek armed with our flyrods and passion sticks incase fly became to difficult. i can tell you a 12-25lbs passion stick with a diawa exceller 3000 and 15lbs braid is a gem of a combo. i landed a number of decent fish including a 6.5 kg GT from the shore that was very disrespectful:spite but the rod held its own when i really did not expect it to.
a friend posted an article on finseekers.co.za about it. for the same price as a decent shirmano or fenwick you can buy 2 or 3 in different weight classes. worth every cent.

Think it is yust the bottem butt section that comes as a loose article that is made in China. Rods still get asembled here thow. Have a rod that is made in Australia with a ser. no. and olso the inscription of made in China on the butt section.
