well done guys - some good fish -

fluke, awesome well done on the grunter - now you know it works, just go do it, nothing frustrating about it from here - vary it up when they not on and you will get heaps - like most fish they don't react the same every day - I took a mate a few days ago and we caught grunter on 7 different top water lures, all vastly different in colour and all of the lures, except 2, were different sizes - hopefully this weekend will be going to where you caught that tagged leerie of mine, keen to go back as haven't been in a while - but congrats again, happy you had good success - lekke

You will be shocked when you see that river, it took a very direct path to sea, you will get Wet or crawl through the jungle to fish it now.

@smiley, it was a Strike Pro, a "finesse..........." can't remember the exact name. It is deadly and very versatile. Anything from a slow walk the dog retrieve to a fast skip works whether the water is flat or choppy.

ok so i have had a productive few outings over the last few weeks, it got to a stage where i stopped taking pictures of every fish i caught because it became monotonous..

i must have hit about 20 - 25 cob all on dropshot. but i was litterally living on redbull over these few weeks in order to fish the hours required when these fish were on and still work the following day.

i took a few mates with me on each occasion and they all managed to get a bump and a surprize fish

my weirdest catch was a steenbrass on dropshot (i never got the pic though so it was the one that got away) which i got onto the side of the bank and when i went to pick it up it kicked like hell and managed to free itself.. so bummed i never got the pic but next time,

a friend of mine got a piggy 2 casts before that also on dropshot which ran like a freight train!

see pics

Arvie session today had a lot more action. Checked some BUssssss gurnards but water was just to shallow to fish the lures I had.
Managed some of the smaller ones again as I started fishing

Besides the gurnards XTC I got into those leerys from yesterday. Got them from the right angle this time and ambushed them. Just before dark they followed their route and I was ready. Dam waited long enough. Around the mid 50s fish.
