Are there any kayak fishermen in Mosselbay/Gourits

Hi Guys,

I would like to make contact with any kayak angler that fishes or has fished the Mosselbay/Gourits area. I intend to do some kayak fishing at Gourits and would love to know what to expect and maybe what to be aware of. I am more interested in sea fishing than estuary fishing, but either would welcome.

Dana, i spent 2 weeks on vacation in Mossel bay during the December period.

When i fished off Daiz beach, Hartenbos and near the point. The only fish i managed to catch was small kob. I trawled snoek and couta traces but nothing.

Eventually i resorted to fishing from the side (EISH) but then managed to catch a few decent sized galjoen. Which were all returned.

Ps: i did not see 1 GW. i had expectations of seeing them in numbers but alas not 1

Was in Mosselbay myself from the 26th Dec till the 2nd Jan.
Weather never really plyed along, but alas I've got myself a geelbek. Did not see any kayak fishing around, so never
went out as i'm not familiar with those waters.
