I always bleed out my fish, as soon as its on the boat, its a no brainer, especially Yellowtail.

It is most definately not blood from poorly handling the fish. The stuff was very firm and dense, like nothing I have ever seen in the 100’s of tail I have cleaned in my life.

Mar ok, dankie

It is definitely the kidneys of the Tail, he might just have been in advanced stage of Renal failure

Hi Dr, spoke to a friend, he thinks fish might have been injured or even shot by spearo, and thats what created the clotted bloody putty in the flesh, was about 5 cm from stomach cavity next to spine, allready took off the skin so I couldnt check for damage or markings.

Ja I saw millions of blaasoppies on the currentbreak feeding on baitfish scraps below the tail, very interesting indeed!
