Anyone interested in doing some angling along False Bay at night,kindly add your name to our ANGLERS' NETWORK & send your contact details via pm.I've spoken with Marthin & If we get enough numbers we'll be considering a Night Social,and if that proves successful,we could do it on it on a regular basis.Sealine members can bring friends along as we're looking at safety in numbers as a top priority for night fishing. Spoken to Ben ,who in conjunction with the Police,is handling the Cob Derby,and asked his input wrt night fishing.Said he's keen & will bring some fellow police men with who also fish,which would augur well for night fishing.For ANGLERS' NETWORK Refer to updated Network List as posted on 25/11/08.

guys i was gonna spend an all nighter at kalk bay harbour me and my friend do u think its afe as we are going on thursday to friday
I know guys who fish K/Bay every night with no incidents.But I wouldn't fish anywhere where there's no one else fishing.And this applies to K/Bay as well.To play it safe,if it gets too remote,I'd leave when all those restaurants close,as while they're open K/bay is a hive of activity.I'll probably be down there myself this week all going well.Cheers!

Kalk Bay's always a safe option, however it would be better if your buddy joins you, just for company. Don't forget the coffee... Some nice cob/stump have been coming out by the lighthouse, but you'll need a gaff... The weather's right for chokka as well !

Now that there are so many guys on board, i would have liked to fish Macassar Friday evening, with the westerly/North westerly winds it would be IDEAL.
A bit scared cause of all that's happening there right now, if we are 5-6 vans with police joining us then that would help.
Any other ideas/comments?

I am also keen to join when i am home. Perhaps there is one of you guys that have connections in the SAP, perhaps we can get a Police van to stand by us while we are fishing, i am sure that they would not mind parking off with a bunch of fishermen chatting especially if they are also fishermen.....
Hi Jaweed!Think it's still early days as want to speak to Ben(Policeman that's selling tickets for Kabeljou Comp),hopefully over the weekend,as he was interested in joining us with some of his police mates.The law as set out,protects criminals & it'd be far better with the Law fishing amongst us than us defending ourselves,as laws have tightened up immensely with usage of firearms.You're welcome to put up a posting, but me personally I won't fish Macassar at night until we have all our ducks in a row & then i'd still wonder about Macassar.If it weren't for the criminal element, I'd jump at going,but wouldn't want to place fellow members lives in danger without looking at methods to maximise everyone's safety.
