Decent JC! Fedu, that looks like a lot of drilling fun!

We went back to Dande Lighthouse yesterday, but the conditions disallowed the popper approach. Instead, we trolled too far off the cliffs in rather exited waters. MISS TEXAS worked the same area, came out zerozerop. We had four good attacks, got one good JC, lost a fish incl the STORM lipped Plug and lost two more "mysticals" who just bent open the RAPALA tripple hooks...

Winter is like this, some days jackpot others just anoying.

Marco went the other weekend up north with some Namibian guests and they got a +30Kg Cubera Snapper.

The same Namibians that were visiting during the week sayd they got a +40Kg Giant African Threadfin on the Kwanza.

I went there this last saturday and 8 full hours on the fishing spot we got 3 times more fish than any onther boat and 3 times more fish was.......... 3 Jack Crevalle and ZERO Threadfin, go figure.

We even slept on the drifting boat while I dropped a small buoy with a plastic shrimp on the drift...

Woke up with a small jack crevalle that hit my shrimp (see pic, the shine on my face is from sleeping under the sun sweat )

GOOD cant spoil you all the time with huge kob, theadfins,wreckfish,jacks,cabera,tarpon,barracuda........still no fish in Cape Town.

For me again the JAck Crevalle on casting stick, this time bigger

I have to say this after having fished both Jack Crevalle and GT, pound for pound the Jack Crevalle is a stronger fighter.

Is it a Quanza Jack. Imagine how strong they would be if they had deep water to take the fight vertical

Not at the Kwanza this weekend, went futher north and it's not a broken rod it's just the rod butt gimbal thing

Just incredible the amount of pressure this fish can put considering their size

Marvelous fish, that JC, Fernando: Well done.
@ SBBF: Have been working in Lisbon for three days and just came back Saturday... needless to say, Sunday I was back in the water. Our geology surveyors deserved a treat. Both had a Baracuda which is good news for my empty freezer. As usually, when getting up late, all we have to try some popping and trolling is the Cape Dande cliffs 35km out of port. We arrived after a humpback siting. Cast some poppers, but at the cape the water was reddish murky. Trolling down the coast we ended up by the Tres Marias before we had any contact. Two barras lost by the boat and a smallish grouper which we set free. Then by the reefer wreck when we had some strikes and managed to board two baracuda. All in all a nice and unexiting Sunday.
