I am quite interested to see what the general consensus is regarding fishing in the wake of the foul weather and devastation of the past view weeks. There seems to be many different opinions on the direct impact that the weather has had on the ocean and subsequently fishing.
Personally I thought it would be a good thing that the huge swell and rolling sea would "refresh" the banks and holes, churning up food sources, rock beds and so forth that were buried under piles of loose sand.
However, with this comes other issues: most of the preferred gullies have been destroyed/moved, this might seem promising as well however how will fish adapt to the new structure and will this structure be in a suitable position for good fishing? (we can't all cast 200m).
Debris, I am sure this annoys us all. The churning has lifted food from the sea bed but with it comes a copious amount of non-fishing friendly debris, it makes life rather difficult when you have packets, seaweed and all sorts of other junk sticking to leader knots and clumping on line.
What is your feeling on this matter and how do you feel the fishing will be in general as the weeks roll on in the wake of the storm.
For me, my feelings are mixed, but I am leaning more and more towards the negatives of the storm outweighing the positives.
