Old Skropsie started a thing that may have meaning to some, while others frankly don't care.
That is acknowledgement and promotion in the Sealine ranks.
We currently have members, Senior members and a Sealine Team.
The question asked is, how do we define who is deserving or not, or even who is qualified or not to be acknowledged with an accolade such as Senior Member or Sealine Team member?
Well here goes.
I like to give credit, and even more to recieve credit and feel that there are many souls here that feel the same.
As a member of more than a year, becoming Senior was easy, cause there were so few of us, now with 5000+ members, it is a different story.
On being a Sealine Team Member - I think you must be qualified for this job.
Reefman, qualified marine biologist and Dentist ?? and also a good natural leader of people - like it or not.
Simen - Natural born leader with people skills, organisational skills and fishing skills of note.
Ryan - Artlure expert - see the colours he has won and the articles he has written.
Critter - Qualified in the sciences applicable to his appointment.
Homie - made one helluva bait presentation and now he is in (and you are a great ambassador).
Other guys around the Sealine bring a measure of tangible, qualified, whealth of knowledge, that we all learn from at Sealine.
Nepptune, Hammertine, Neilg, Miles and so we can carry on.
I'd like to see that we Boost the rank of Senior Member.
Give it some OOMF. This is the rank to hold and what we aspire as individuals to achieve.
These guys fish hard, try hard, support well and give without asking.
There are members here who on the bye and bye only have 50 posts, but 40 of them counted. There are others who haven't missed a social. Circumstances prevail and we all do what we can. You can however see who the guys are that put in and who the guys are that just collect.
Can we find or develop a couple of measureable traits in members that would be considered good effort, nicely done, good job type of stuff that would give merit to attaining the position of Senior Member?
Measure by means of the Mana counter?, votes by fellow members or Senior Members.
Keeping a scorecard for yourself that you could submit reflecting contributions to socials or even to a single other member ?
