I skipped a few steps and forgot to take photos. I completed the deck and boat was ready to flip over and paint the bottom.I repaired 2 places..(from inside and outside the hull)
Next up was the keel strip.used marine sikaflex in the screw holes and also on the strip itself. Wiped off the excess after the stainless screws was tightned. The screw holes dont go through the hull so if theres a leak then it cant enter the hull
The seem where the console was joined cracked a bit from the steering hub stress..took a sanding disc and sanded down to fibreglass..applied 2 layers of fibreglass
Sanded down the seem i fixed and used finishing putty to fill up the low spots. Again sanded down with fine grit sandpaper and after that used 800 grit water paper. Note i also closed 2 holes that was cut for buttons and plate where fishfinder was
Next up was the grit for the non slip surface. Used masking tape to mark off strips..applied topcoat and sprinkled swimming pool filter sand on the wet paint. I only painted the back half of the boat as i want to get the motor on to start it up..been laying horisontal for 6 months now
Open space is where the rear bunk seat for is going to be that hold the fuel tanks..i will be sanding down a strip of paint around the seat to fibreglass it in place
