As much as I would loved to, its not possible to make a cast into anything but the shore break from up there, maybe!
The beach however is just below the house about 80m back.
That kob was caught after about 3 casts in less than 5 minutes of fishing. Such is the nature of paddle tails and kob - it the fish are there you are "vas", otherwise move on! I have spent the day trying for kob on paddletail without any luck only to find that the next session they are usually caught within the first half hour.
Such a lovely eating fish - and yes I have released a few bigger ones, so all at peace with Neptune.
