A great day in the deep

Launched at 7am. On board myself and Andrew ( Kraken ). Encountered a bit of fog between Bellows and +- 15 miles of the point.

Got to the the first trawler at about 8:30 - see as flat as my desk at work. Beautiful colour. Backlines out for about 20m and then decided to get baiting behind the trawler. Withing 30m we spotted the first yellow gulping the chum. 5m later Andrew went on.

Nice fish between 50 - 60kg. Went back to the trawler and within 5m bang on again. My turn !! Another between 50kg -60kg.

Put out one hand of chum let the bait lines go out and again withing 5m on AGAIN !!

Fish between 60 - 70kg. And so history repeated itself again for the third time ! Another hand of chum - let out the bait lines and 5m - ON !

Fish between 60 - 70kg.

12pm - there we are 4 beasts on the boat - no more space with plenty of fish around us wanting our bait.

Made the wise decision that that was enough for our needs - packed up and head home.

Got to false bay - caught a couple of snoek on the spinners  ( jigging ) of the point and by 14h30 back at Millers.

WOW  - WHAT A DAY !!

Tuna Fish - ja its a Sea Cat 565 walk around - small boat but work like a dream. Just need to chose your days when wanting to fish the deep.

Guys the fish was spread over a big area. Al the usual nrs.
At the canyon and just before. Some smaller tuna were caught 15 miles of the point between the bonnies and longfin.

I'm sure the boats out today will have another great day - all conditions are the same - in fact with the SW it should only improve.

Ja Arno! Gotta say it was one of the nicest days out in the deep I've had for a long time!

Yellowtrail may be small, but she has the heart of a lion and is one deadly fishin' machine!

Thanx for a bloody(literally!) awesome day!

Looking at Saturdays forecast it looks like a sea day for us
and fish a plenty !
