Leka altie. Water was cold enough hey.
Well I found out whose line is at leonards. The chop.
Been wondering if the fish I broke off wasn't a cow too. It ate for a while ,small bumps and then a slow pull flat. Put up no fight onle once felt a 'headshake' then it got stuck

With your guys track record of camping you guys will have no dry clothes; no sleeping bags, no tent and you'll be so hungry you'll start eating your bait:fbash
Lucky for you there's alwsys been a ballie there to look after you:::S

Ja altie picture it they rock up full of bravado and all
First up dave burns wade off then snaps off half his topshot they finally get a fish close and dave pops the leader. They decide to braai and realize they can't light the fire. It doesn't matter cause a seagull has chowed their meat witch dave left outside the coolbox. Now it starts to rain and yep u guessed it no tent.

Must I go on or u get the picture. :fbash:fbash:fbash:fbash

Fluke those cows are ONGESKIK!!!!! That 60kg of Henning's had no manners at all, and at strand a while ago i stopped after collecting red bait and watched a chap nearly get one stuck to his leg.

Boeps i don't think you had a cow on, they tend to come up to the surface and flop around after they are hooked.

the amount of line thats in gonubie point now is just absolutely horrible, i slid twice and lost everything twice, i threw a throw bait to the left and didnt get tangled so it looks we hav to throw left now chaps, now we gana have the holiday chaps throwing over our lines:X, thats proberly why FLUKE is getting the bites because theres no line in the way, well isnt as much line in the way

@Marthin, Ongeskik is a good way of putting it and mine also tried to attach itself to my leg.

@Wade, keep left on a long cast and you'll clear the line. that line I got into was on a shorter cast. It is still going to be a problem once you hook something.

Fishing has still been quiet so we reverted to catching Sand Sharks and rays in a nearby river. Sadly the big swell has now messed up that formation as well and last nights trip was fruitless.

Here are however some of the Sandies I managed on light tackle; a 6'7'' Loomis Trigya, Fierce2000 and 20lb braid that was replaced with 10lb braid to improve the level of fun::S

On the 1st night, first up was a 63cm(10,6kg) Blue Ray that gave a good account of itself. Luckily I hooked this one on the turning tide so it never had much current to assist it.

Wade also got about 6 Sandies and a Diamond ray on the 2 nights. I also managed a Blacktail and 40cm Spotted Grunter. All were caught on a Ryoichi no 12 hook, 1/2oz ball sinker using tiny mullet heads for bait.

Most of them were caught on a strong outgoing tide and put up a seriously good fight on the very light tackle.

Big swell has moved the sand bank and closed out the formation we were fishing so I think the party is probably over.
