Hey Guys, I am moving ahead pretty quickly with the Save False Bay project and top of the list is the relentless destruction of our marine resources by the trekkies. I have a meeting with the World Wildlife Foundation on Tuesday who are already very concerned with the state of affairs in False Bay. I will be discussing how we can deal with this and hopefully with their clout, get the likes of 3rd Degree and Carteblanche on board who can bring this disgraceful practise to the public's attention and hopefully then we will start to see some results. We at www.savefalsebay.co.za (when it is up and running)have a plan to put a permanent end to the abuse of the fish stocks. We cannot reveal too much at this stage but in due course, you guys as partners in our mission will have the opportunity to get on board and help us. I am still looking for a web developer to help us build the site.
Keep your anger and frustration bottled up for a bit longer so that we can put it to good use in the near future.
Cheers Guys,
Paul.

Maybe in the mean time guys could start collecting info, pics, video, etc and build up a collection to be publically displayed when required.

Agge nee herder ouens !

Hierdie is presies dieselfde as die vorige posts oor treknettters.

Yes I think artificial reefs are a great idea but I dont know why there is not much support for it.

If rec fishing is worth R17 billion a year surely it makes economic sense

I just think the problem is still the "old guard" that is in power! A lot of the ministers were people that fought for the "struggle" I feel they are blinded by there dislike for the previously advantaged and have not yet realised that we are truly a healed rainbow nation! The decisions being made are and seem to be "spiteful" ones aimed at the white citizen! But what they have not yet realised is that there are people of all races that are now fishing and diving, not just the perceived affluent. We need our brothers of colour to take up the fight so the people in power can see that there is transformation in recreational fishing and their decisions only benefit a few and disadvantage thousands!!!
