Little sizer in Struisbaai surf on spoon
_seal1_...VERY VERY NEAT!!!!...Spoon please????
:cool:..Also , if you dont mind , was she hooked on the outside of the mouth OR on the inside???...Top OR bottom...Many thanks
Hi I used the same spoon in the middle for that one just with pearl crystal flash. That and the 2 bigger spoons are all the same shape and 72g and 80g respectively. Not sure of their names, they were privately made.

Also had success on the Kingfisher V back 60g and Iron Candy SV#3, 72g especially pink. Blinged up some spoons with Fluoro Green lure paint. I like use a teaser on my hook as the profile is much bigger but not all spoons handle it.

Caught the cob late morning, clear skies, clean water but was casting to puffing sand close to shore. Hooked solidly in the top of mouth.

@ Jacques - Do you get a better strike rate with the added flash/tails on your spoons?? I use the same type spoons in the surf, but not much luck yet.
;)..It will come...its a ..put-in-the-time thing.....patience and try a slightly faster retrieve with a rod tip up...::tight:

Yeah finally after having released a couple of small ones for a while now I managed this 70cm on Friday just as the last light disappears and released a smaller one later the evening.

Mike come in

Went on Sunday 23/11/2014 at Merino Road and blanked horribly on bloodworm! My saving grace was that Faried who was throwing a few metres from me blanked as well! _seal1_
