Great catch. Is that a Shimano Nexave grinder. Just wondering. What rod you pairing it with.

_seal1_...VERY VERY NEAT!!!!...Spoon please????
..Also , if you dont mind , was she hooked on the outside of the mouth OR on the inside???...Top OR bottom...Many thanks
Hi I used the same spoon in the middle for that one just with pearl crystal flash. That and the 2 bigger spoons are all the same shape and 72g and 80g respectively. Not sure of their names, they were privately made.

Also had success on the Kingfisher V back 60g and Iron Candy SV#3, 72g especially pink. Blinged up some spoons with Fluoro Green lure paint. I like use a teaser on my hook as the profile is much bigger but not all spoons handle it.

Caught the cob late morning, clear skies, clean water but was casting to puffing sand close to shore. Hooked solidly in the top of mouth.

@ Jacques - Do you get a better strike rate with the added flash/tails on your spoons?? I use the same type spoons in the surf, but not much luck yet.

thanks NRJP
it is not really a spinning outfit its more a galjoen setup. the real is a shimano aerlex 8000 with 50pnd braid on a shimano beast master medium 14ft rod that is made for multiplier but I use a inverted cast if you could call it that.(bottom hand releases the line on the cast)

Thanks for reply. I have a shimano nexave 6000 paired with 12ft finnor. Hope it will be able to handle a kob that size

I am not expert but that sounds good guys use much lighter setups and catch bigger fish then this. what line /braide do you have on I think anything from 20 to 50 pnd should be fine,im not a expert tho,so gooi en kyk
