1987 Ski Nautique 2001 Restoration

So after having the boat stripped and all ready to send to my local boat shop to have the stringers, floors and paint done they have now come back to me to say they are too busy and don't want to take on the work...
Can any one recommend someone who is able to replace stringers and install new floors as well as paint?

Thanks for the response gents i will give them a call.
I dont know if its just me but alot of boating guys are just not that interested in customers unless buying a new boat from them or splashing out some big $$$ with them??
This is my first boat and I have gotten pretty dispondant, no one returns calls or replies to emails from many companies.
I understand that it is a big job and am willing to pay for services, just want a decent job done and not to be ripped off.
So many times i have paid big $$$ but get a half arsed job done.

yip its not easy.
a real bad job.
might be expensive and old vessels like that is not worth much.
so spending that kind of money into a pit...…

Been trying to get hold of Maruis fora few days but keeps going straight to voicemail, has his number changed by any chance?
Also been trying to get hold of pippo but no joy as yet.
Went past another boat shop in Benoni, once again you have to keep chasing up there is just no customer service in this industry guess business in the boating world is too good and guys don't need the business.

Sorry for being so quiet, but there has been a bit of progress since i have been out of work for 5 months now due to Covid (Lots of time to do the things I have on hand)- which now has slowed down the project until we get called back to work.
So what has been done during lockdown...
Sorry for being so quiet, but there has been a bit of progress since i have been out of work for 5 months now due to Covid (Lots of time to do the things I have on hand)- which now has slowed down the project until we get called back to work.
So what has been done during lockdown...
- Stringers have been replaced and new floors
Heads have come back from the workshop - unleaded conversion complete
Carb has been overhauled with new kit
New water pump
Overhauled Raw water pump
Engine has been assembled and painted
gearbox has been painted
Complete new wiring throughout the boat.
Gauges have been cleaned up - Still dont know what to do with the dash
Started cleaning up all the Teak pieces.
During lockdown I have been busy in the garage with assembling the motor, making up new wiring looms, overhauling the raw water pump with new bearings and mechanical seals. Carb has been stripped, cleaned and assembled with original holley parts.
Made up now wiring looms all new wiring keeping to the original wiring diagram with colors etc, just adding a few wires for future expansion. Ie. courtesy lights and electric back up fuel pump.
I have received the boat back from the shop and have been filling a few holes on the boat that are no longer required and at the stage where is ready to be repainted.
