I would like to know from any anglers who has one of these reels, how is this reels casting abilities? Seems a odd question to ask as the casting is controlled by the angler. But the spool seems very small and narrow to get any great distance. Any owners out there?

Today I went to my favorite spot, no wind,discolored water,shark fever.... Anyway slide my 25cm bonnie (what a beauty) 1 hour later reel starts SCREAMING...... Set the hook,small run then dead.... Start realing in STILL "ON DAD"... End result a "BONE FISH" about 3kg, can you believe it!!!!!

I only have Daiwa reels and a friend on mine wants to buy a Trini 40. The problem he has is "how good is this reel for casting long distances (8/9oz)"? He will be mainly using it for sliding baits. To match this reel he has a Purglas 400/6. Info would be great....!!!!
