I used my 9ft Ugly Stick Extra Heavy and casted 2 ounce spoons... and another cast another I am very happy with my setup. The 8000 Stradic loaded with 55 lbs Saltiga casting braid and the 9ft Ugly Stick works great to get the spoon out into the deep.
