Yellowtail Spinners

Made these from stainless steel plate attacked by a grinder on Saturday and used them yesterday for yellowtail trolling at Rocky Banks. Caught nothing. But so did all the fancy rapalas, Wally’s and other expensive stuff chased by little orange aeroplanes, etc. Or the other 20-odd other boats patrolling the area.

Top: about 2 mm thick (did not use)

Middle: also about 2 mm thick, crazy action like a darting little fish

Bottom: 5 mm thick, the hook provides tail action only

These can also be blinged-up with colourful skirts etc.

We’ll see next time.
