The Alcocks had some very nice Abu Lucas-style spinners when I was last there, as well as some keels, which is probably the most consistent yellowtail spinner from the rocks.Oh Ok. I prefer the Sealpoint ones only because they work and have never had any issues with them.
However, you cannot buy custom sizes and shapes in the shops, and would like to make my own with my own specs. You can never have just one type of plug, Wind conditions and speed, sea state, sky colour, water temp. are all just some of the things that can change the chase to the bite, if you are using the correct plug colour, size, chisel shape etc...so always good to have a vast variety but to explain to a plug maker with all the different designs, could be a nightmare!
Anyone know who stocks ABU/seriola spinners in the Eastern Cape?
The ultimate, to catch tail on your own modified rod, with your own modified plug/spinner , own modified reel = Priceless!:first
