Yamaha VX250 Outboard not starting

Hi.
I have a +/ 1994 Yamaha VX 250 Outboard that suddenly died on me while cruising. I have checked wiring and starter fuse and all looks ok. There does not appear to be a spark though. What would be the best way of going about this please? I am thinking of changing computers with other engine to check if that might be the problem.

Try change your spark plug first, then if there is still no spark, swop out your CDI with your other motor to see if it will fire up.

Have you checked your kill switch? it may have pulled out or be faulty.

I had to cancel a fishing trip because my mate accidently pulled the kill switch whilst packing the boat and after hours of swearing and fault finding we went home only to find the kill switch had been pulled.
