Wriggleswade dam and nahoon dam

Howzit ... anyone fish wriggleswade dam in east london ? Kinda new here and don't seem like there's that many papgooi mense around:ifishin:ifishin:ifishin

Yes, I have fished there often. Nice dam with great size fish. Fishing only permitted in camping area, but the do open the other areas for big competitions.
Stronger flavours seem to work well and you do not have to fish that deep, depending on water level.
Spirit mielies work..even on hot days.

Dam level is right up with a lot of snag in the grass line in front, currently fishing 1hook traces at the venue to prevent any stucks if I hook up ... fished it twice already both times now in winter and all I picked up where 2small yellows

In Wriggleswade you can fish bigger hooks ...No.3 and thicker line to pull fish through the grass. There are some nice yellows there. My biggest was 4.15kg, but was caught alot closer to to the bottom of the dam. I have a friend that farms there, so was privilege to fish lower down. Stay away from floro and use stronger flavours, aniseed worked well one summers day :shock:

I think ill be fishing there friday, will try out a few dips without floro and see how it goes ... think ill fish around 90 or 100 or just passed the grass line which is about 70 I think
